Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson have confessed they hated the dresses they wore for The Other Boleyn Girl.
The stars play Mary and Anne Boleyn, the wife and lover of Henry VIII in the new film co-starring Eric Bana, and had to wear elaborate gowns with tiny corseted waists, plunging necklines and huge, hopped skirts.
Scarlett told the Heart breakfast show: “I never wanted to see them again after this production.”
Natalie added: “They are sexy looking but we could never show a sex scene in the movie from start to finish because it would take half an hour to get the dress off.”
And asked if they were tempted to wear the dresses home to show their boyfriends, Natalie said: “That would be a sadistic boyfriend.”
But the girls did confess that they like to steal souvenirs from the sets of their films.
Scarlett, 23, told the radio show: “I always try to take souvenirs that I can auction off later on.”
And Natalie, 26, who played Padmé Amidala in Star Wars, admitted: “I took one of the braids that Anakin wore in Star Wars. I think a little bit of fake hair is always a good creepy souvenir.”
The Other Boleyn Girl is released on March 7.
