Scarlett Johansson is to host the Nobel Peace Concert, it’s been announced.
The Lost In Translation actress – who recently exchanged vows with actor Ryan Reynolds – will present the show with a co-host who has yet to be announced, reports the BBC.
Nobel committee member Geir Lundestad told the Associated Press Scarlett’s “compassion and influence” would help to spread a message of peace.
The big screen star said she was “truly honoured” to have been asked.
It has previously been announced that Motown legend Diana Ross will be headlining the show in Oslo on December 11.
Other big names set to appear include Canadian singer Feist, Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas, Nigerian star Seun Kuti, and Norway’s popular singer-songwriter Marit Larsen.
The winner of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize is former Finnish president Martti Ahtisaari.
