Scarlett Johansson has revealed her glee that she managed to pull off her secret wedding to Ryan Reynolds.
The couple tied the knot at an intimate ceremony at a remote retreat near Vancouver, Canada, last September.
“I was happy with the results of that. It was my mission to have a moment of privacy, to do something for myself,” she told the LA Times.
News of the nuptials was kept private until days after the occasion and no pictures of the ceremony have ever been shown publicly.
The 24-year-old, who stars in The Spirit alongside Samuel L Jackson and Eva Mendes, is glad that she has been lucky to be offered mature roles.
“I feel like the hype that comes with being young in the industry will kind of dissipate and that there are some really good roles in my future,” she said.
“Then again, I say that as an actor who thinks every job is their last job.”
And Scarlett admitted she would like to move into producing and being behind the camera, like her He’s Just Not That Into You co-star Drew Barrymore, who also co-produced the film.
“They make movies that they like, that they’re proud of, that people love, that is entertaining,” she said.
“I would love to be able to do that someday, have a production company and encourage other directors and writers to follow their vision.”
