Scarlett Johansson smoulders in the new Japanese Avengers trailer featuring previously unseen footage and a glimpse of the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier.
The Avengers sees international agency S.H.I.E.L.D. bring together a team of super humans who help save the Earth from Loki & his army, and the latest trailer does not disappoint.
Although it contains all the key themes from the previous teasers, new shots include Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye in action along with several scenes featuring Loki and his alien entourage
The trailer shows an initial alien attack on New York City before cutting to an anxious looking Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts.
Writer-director Joss Whedon has previously said Loki’s alien invaders will not be Skrull shapeshifters nor the Kree – two of the major alien races in the larger Marvel Universe.
Elsewhere, Maria Hill gets a line and thereâs a brief glimpse of a Quinjet.
A breathtaking shot of the Helicarrier as it is raised from the ocean also heightens momentum.
The Avengers is due out on April 27.
