Scarlett Johansson looked stunning at the UK Avengers Assemble premiere last night as she revealed why she loves playing a butt-kicking character.
The actress looked radiant as she chatted to fans and media on the red carpet in a black and scarlet floral corset and thigh-skimming lace skirt by Prada, which she teamed up with towering bright red heels.
Scarlett, who plays catsuit-clad assassin Black Widow in the superhero blockbuster , revealed that she loved her character because she was always ready for action.
She said: ‘It’s nice to be able to play a female character that’s not a damsel in distress or some woman in waiting but to actually play someone who’s got a lot of conviction and who is really ready to kick some booty.’
The 27-year-old was joined by her co-stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo , Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders and Clark Gregg.
At a press conference ahead of the film’s premiere this week, the blonde beauty revealed that she had to eat rabbit food to be able to slip into her character’s figure-hugging clothes.
‘When you’re training you eat a lot of greens,’ she said.
The We Bought A Zoo star admitted that rehearsing for the fight sequences was gruelling.She explained: ‘I think me, [Jeremy] Renner and Tom [Hiddleston] spent the most amount of time in the stunt gym. We had these huge, choreographed sequences which were intense.’
