Scarlett Johansson‘s great uncle died in a ghetto in Warsaw, Poland, during the Second World War, the actress has learned.
The actress was a guest on the PBS show Finding Your Roots – the US equivalent of British show Who Do You Think You Are? – when historian Henry Louis Gates uncovered the information.
As the duo leafed through documentation about the departed relative, Scarlett said: ‘I mean, you really couldn’t imagine the horror. It’s just so crazy to imagine.’
