Scarlett Johansson has topped Forbes’ annual ranking of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses.
It is safe to say the Lucy star is minted as she has surpassed Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, who followed closely in at number two and three, respectively, on the Forbes list.
Last year, Emma Stone snatched up the number one position with $26 million (£23 million), but Scarlett, who has a large amount of Marvel Cinematic Universe projects to boast of, came home with a massive $40.5 million (£36 millions) this year, according to Forbes.
It’s safe to say Marvel’s Avengers films have played a nice part in her earnings, and it’s not stopping there are as the 33-year-old has landed her own stand-alone Black Widow movie – set for release in 2019.
The star released two movies in 2017, Rough Night and Ghost in the Shell, for which she earned backlash for portraying a role many fans believed should have been reserved for a Japanese actor.
Angelina followed the Don Jon star closely at number two with $28 million (£25 million) for the year.
And Jennifer who earned $19.5 million (£17 million), who made most of her earnings from lucrative with Emirates airlines, Smartwater and Aveeno, the publication reported.
Jennifer Lawrence tailed behind in at number four with Reese Witherspoon just behind her with $16.5 million (£14 million) from recent success in producing and starring in Big Little Lies.
The list also includes Cate Blanchett’s $12.5 million (£11 million) fortune and Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot with $10 million (£9 million).
