Lost In Translation and Black Dahlia star, Scarlett Johansson says she is ‘open-minded’ about sex and has HIV tests twice a year.
The Hollywood superstar denies she is sexually promiscuous.
Combating rumours about her promiscuity, the 21-year-old argued, ‘There does seem to be a mistaken belief out there that I am sexually available somehow – which is not to say that I’m not open-minded about sex.’

Speaking in an interview to Allure Magazine, she continued, ‘Yet I wouldn’t say I’m a serial monogamist, either. I mean, I went through periods of time when I was, ah, single.’
Echoing Sienna Miller’s comments on monogamy last week, Johansson says, ‘I do think on some basic level we are animals, and by instinct we kind of breed accordingly.’
Scarlet explained to the magazine despite the effort involved, relationships were worth striving for, explaining, ‘I work really hard when I’m in a relationship to make it work in a monogamous way.’
On safe sex and self-protection, Scarlett says she vigorously gets tested for HIV, explaining, ‘I get tested for HIV twice a year… One has to be socially aware.’
The Hollywood star’s message was, ‘It’s part of being a decent human, to be tested for STDs. It’s just disgusting behaviour when people don’t. It’s so irresponsible.’
Scarlett said: ‘Josh is very sweet’, adding, ‘He’s a good boy. A great person. I’m very lucky and I’m very happy,’ showering Black Dahlia co-star, Josh Hartnett, with praise.
